Singer-songwriter Shima Kaori<\/strong> is releasing her first mini-album, titled Soredemo Egao de Itai kara<\/em> (“Because, Even So, I Want To Keep Smiling”) on October 12th. It will contain 7 original tracks, several of which Shima has performed and are recorded on YouTube. <\/p>\n

Shimako, who hails from the city of Takaoka in Toyama Prefecture, is something of a regional star who has written and performed cheer songs for the area, including a song titled “Runrun Kurun” to promote tourism to Takaoka. You can watch videos of her live performances below.<\/p>\n
