Okinawan folk band BEGIN<\/strong> is releasing a new album on December 12th. Titled Potluck Songs<\/em>, the collection will consist of 11 songs, including “BAND wo kumou yo”, and “Egao no manma,” and marks the 20th album released by the band. All of the songs feature tie-ups to radio campaigns, movies, and more, and have not previously been released to CD.<\/p>\n

The trio’s most recent album before this was released in 2015. The veteran folk unit has brought shima-uta and Ryuukyuan music into the mainstream of Japanese culture since they formed in 1990. <\/p>\n
