Singer and musician Arai Akino<\/strong> released a new mini album on December 18th! Three years after releasing her 30th anniversary album Little Piano Plus<\/em> in 2016, Akino released Tsubame<\/em> this month, a mini album with seven original new songs. In the interim, the artist has been focusing on producing artists on her independent record label, Pure Heart. While her style and voice have evolved over time, Arai continues to sing in a soft, soothing voice with light backing music grounded in piano and violin accompaniment. <\/p>\n

The album release trailer is available on the official YouTube channel of Victor Entertainment, and can be previewed below the track list. Arai Akino is releasing a compilation album on the same date, containing 16 songs that were coupling songs, insert songs for shows, or other rare pieces that have not been previously released to CD. The trailer for this compilation album, titled Another Planet<\/em>, is also previewed below.<\/p>\n

Tsubame<\/em> was released in 2 editions: a limited edition with a bonus DVD and a regular CD-only edition. The DVD contains live clips of 11 songs performed at Akino’s “electric sheep” live performance in 2018. Limited quantities of pre-orders at Amazon Japan ship with a bonus first-press sticker, but no goodies are included with CD Japan purchases. <\/p>\n
