Celebrity actor and singer Kimura Takuya<\/strong> is releasing an album on January 8th! Go with the Flow<\/em> will be Takuya’s first album as a solo artist, as his accomplished singing career has been as a member of the group SMAP<\/strong>, which spanned 25 years and disbanded in 2016. SMAP, which started out an idol boy band, became a social phenomenon in Japan, and was arguably the most popular music group in the country during the 1990’s. Takuya, known as “KimuTaku” by fans, might be the most popular of the SMAP members. <\/p>\n

Go with the Flow<\/em> will contain 13 tracks total. Many notable songwriters in Japan’s music industry have contributed to the album’s credits, including Inaba Koushi of B’z, Uru, Mizuno Yoshiki of Ikimonogakari, Moriyama Naotaro, LOVE PSYCHEDELICO, and others. <\/p>\n

Music videos to two of the songs, “One and Only” and “Sunset Bench” are available on the official YouTube channel of Victor Entertainment, the label that is releasing Takuya’s album, and can be previewed below the track list. <\/p>\n

Go with the Flow<\/em> will be released in 3 editions: 2 limited editions and a regular CD-only edition. Limited edition A comes with a “deluxe A4 size” booklet and tests fan loyalty at a price point of 6000 yen; limited edition B comes with a bonus DVD. Limited quantities of the first-press pre-orders will come with a bonus postcard at CD Japan and Amazon Japan. To further test fan loyalty, those who buy both of the limited editions in the same order may qualify to get a desktop 2020 calendar gift as well. <\/p>\n
