Blues-inspired rock band GLIM SPANKY<\/strong> is releasing their fifth album on October 7th! Titled Walking On Fire<\/em>, the record will contain 12 songs total, including the single “Story no saki ni,” and digital singles “Singin’ Now,” “Konna yofuke wa,” and “Tokyo wa moeteru.” “Circle Of Time” was included on a 2019 compilation album commemorating Osamu Tezuka’s Hi no Tori<\/em><\/a> series. The other tracks are new songs. <\/p>\n

Several of the titles on this album, including “Story no saki ni,” “Singin’ Now,” and new song “By Myself Again” feature tie-ups to movies and TV shows. <\/p>\n

UPDATED 2020-09-11: The album release trailer has been posted to GLIM SPANKY’s official YouTube channel. The music video to “Konna yofuke wa”, which was created during the pandemic stay-at-home summer, is also on their channel, and can be previewed below the track list. Music videos to their other singles are blocked from viewers outside of Japan by their label, Universal Music, but full audio clips are available. <\/p>\n

Walking On Fire<\/em> will be released in 2 editions: a limited edition with a bonus CD and DVD, and a regular CD-only edition. The second disc of the limited edition contains recordings from their Kinema Club live event on November 11, 2019 while the DVD contains video footage of those songs plus several more. <\/p>\n

Limited quantities of the first-press pre-orders will come with a bonus item at CD Japan (not yet announced) and Amazon Japan (large decorative jacket artwork), among other outlets. <\/p>\n
