JUNNA new album “20 x 20” out on December 9th!

Singer JUNNA is releasing her second solo album on December 9th! 20 x 20 will contain 11 tracks total, and is being released shortly after the singer’s 20th birthday. The album will include the singles “IRU IMI,” “Ima,” and an album version of “KONO YUBI TOMARE.”

OAU best-of album “Re:New Acoustic Life” out on December 9th!

Folk/pop group OAU is releasing a best hits album on December 9th! Titled Re:New Acoustic Life, the album includes 17 songs spanning 15 years of the band’s history, including 13 re-recorded songs from the era where the band was named OVERGROUND ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUND. Currently, the band name is OAU, and several songs on this album are from their eponymous album released last year. “Saigo no News” is a cover of a Inoue Yosui song.

KEIKO debuts solo album “Lantana” on December 2nd!

Singer KEIKO, of Kalafina trio fame, is releasing her first album as a solo artist! Lantana is the singer’s debut on the Avex label, and will contain 11 total tracks. The album is produced by veteran composer Kajiura Yuki, whom KEIKO has worked with since before she joined Kalafina.

BoA 10th album “Better” out in December!

Veteran South Korean singer and producer BoA is releasing her 10th original (South Korean) studio album in December! Titled BETTER, the album commemorates 20 years of BoA’s career as a best-selling South Korean solo artist, who has also topped the Oricon charts with six consecutive number 1 albums in Japan. While BETTER is being released on December 1st in South Korea, it may not be available to listeners in Japan and other areas until later in the month. The album will contain 11 tracks total.

BoA’s record label SM Entertainment has released an almost half-hour video commemorating the artist’s 20th anniversary on their YouTube channel, which can be previewed below.

Taeyeon releasing new mini album “#GirlsSpkOut” on November 18th!

Singer Taeyeon is releasing her second Japanese mini album on November 18th! #GirlsSpkOut will contain 5 songs total. The title track is a mid-tempo R&B tune featuring rapper Chanmina. “I do” is a slow, groovy song that the singer has performed at live concerts but is previously unreleased on CD.

The music video to “#GirlsSpkOut feat. Chanmina” has been posted to YouTube by SM Entertainment, Taeyeon’s music label, and “I do” has been posted by Universal Music. The accomplished South Korean singer, a member of the break-out Kpop group Girls Generation, has released 2 solo albums and several mini albums in South Korea, and one mini album in Japan thus far.
