Final Fantasy XV is finally set to release on November 29th after 10 years of production, and its soundtrack will be released on December 21st. Composed by Shimamura Yoko, the soundtrack has similarly been in development for a decade. So far, clips and previews of the soundtrack suggest an overall epic, gothic, and darker mood than some prior FF scores.

The full track list has not yet been released. The soundtrack will be released in 3 versions: standard CD format, with 80 minutes of music on 4 CDs; a Blu-ray disc with all music on a single disc; and a limited collector’s edition with 3 Blu-ray discs containing all soundtrack music plus bonus tracks, piano arrangements, and an extra booklet. The limited edition will retail at quite a price: 9074 yen. First press bonuses are available at CD Japan (sticker sheet), and may be available at Amazon Japan–please check the order pages carefully.

You can preview tracks and discussion at the Final Fantasy 15 Studio Live performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios, on YouTube:
