bird commemorates 20th anniversary with best album on July 24th!

singer-songwriter bird is releasing a best album on July 24th! bird 20th Anniversary Best will contain 28 tracks on 2 discs, spanning her career since her first single “SOULS” was released in 1999. bird’s overall groovy music suggests influences ranging from R&B to reggae, bossa nova, and jazz.

This compilation will include 18 of her 23 singles, along with several other songs found on several more recent studio albums: “Flowers” and “Konnanimo Blue” from NEW BASIC (7th studio album); “Laboratory”, “First Breath”, and “The Secret Room” from HOME (8th); “Run” and “Ah” from 9 (9th); and “Ashita no Kizashi” and “Michi” from LUSH (10th).

Notably, no insert songs are from her earlier albums before 2011 (as she has released previous compilation albums) or her most recent album Namigata, which was released in March of this year. The song “Life,” a collaboration between bird and Mondo Grosso, is also being released on this album as a new version.
