Translation

The “me” that belonged only to you
Was left behind
I live now
Belonging to no one

If I were to become yours again
In that split second
I would be split apart
And remade [1]

If I were to explode [2]
I would become a part of the sun
And shine down on you

If I were to explode
I would become the wings of the sun
Enfolding you in light [3]

YULA-YULA-YULA-YULA
I am   alone

Family, Lover, Friends
Somebody, please [4]
Take me with you to another star [5]

Family, Lover, Friends
Somebody, please
Don’t leave me alone like this

The sound of the waves has stopped
The birds have disappeared
The light has vanished
Why did that happen?

The sound of the waves has vanished
The voice of the wind has stopped
The people have disappeared
Why did that happen?

I did not realize until now
How painful it is
To be this solitary

Living on alone
As I’ve always done
Was naïve of me [6]

YULA-YULA-YULA-YULA
I am   alone

Family, Lover, Friends
Somebody, please
Take me with you to another star

Family, Lover, Friends
Somebody, please
Don’t leave me alone like this

Family, Lover, Friends
Somebody, please
Take me with you to another star

Family, Lover, Friends
Somebody, please
Don’t leave me alone like this

YULA-YULA-YULA-YULA

Family,Lover,Friends
Somebody baby

Family,Lover,Friends
Somebody baby

YULA-YULA-YULA-YULA

Family,Lover,Friends
Somebody baby

Family,Lover,Friends
Somebody baby

Family,Lover,Friends
Somebody baby

Family,Lover,Friends
Somebody baby

==========
[1] Bunkai shite tsukuru no sa: “split me apart and create me.” This makes me think of fusion and fission.
[2] Hatsureshitara: “If exploding/rupturing/breaking off [into fragments]”
[3] Taiyou no tsubasa to nari anata wo dakimashou: “I would become wings of the sun, and embrace you.” I imagine a sun’s wings to be made of light.
[4] I interpreted the phrase to be somewhat like this: “Someone–family, lover, friends–anyone–baby, please!”
[5] Hoka no hoshi: “hoshi” can be a star or any celestial body, including a planet. The subject of the song could be a planet, lamenting the disappearance of living creatures from it, and hoping to join another solar system, or a star who has been abandoned/imploded/had its planets destroyed. In any case, the song suggests that the living things associated with the lamenting celestial body have met an unfortunate end.
[6] Ima made hitori de ikiteyukeru to amanchan datta wa: “It was spoiled/foolish/childish of me to keep on living as I have been, alone.”
