Aikawa Nanase new album “Rock Goes On” out on June 20th!

Veteran rock singer Aikawa Nanase is releasing a new album, titled Rock Goes On, in June. This release comes 2 years after her previous album and contains 12 original tracks.

Singer-songwriter Higuchi Ai is releasing her second full album on June 20th. The album will be titled Hibi Rinrin (“Amazing Days”) and contain 10 tracks total. Higuchi is a piano-based songwriter with a “modern” voice and stories to tell.
Hibin Rinrin will be released in 2 editions: a limited edition with a bonus DVD, and a regular CD only edition. The DVD will contain clips for the studio live versions of “Potari” and “Watakushi-goto.” The regular edition will include a bonus 11th track.
Beverly new album “24” out on June 20th!

Pop singer Beverly is releasing her second album on June 20th! The album is titled 24, which is also the singer’s age. It will contain 12 tracks total, including “LOVE THERAPY” and “A New Day.” Clips of music videos for several of the songs have been posted to YouTube by Beverly’s record label, Avex, and can be viewed below the track list.
lyrical school releasing new album “World’s End” on June 19th!

Hip-hop/spoken word idol group lyrical school is releasing their second major label album in June! Titled World’s End, the disc will contain 11 songs and other tracks/skits. 7 original songs will be included, along with a song they’ve performed live titled “DANCE WITH YOU”, and the 3 singles “Natsuyasumi no BABY,” “Tsuretette yo,” and “CALL ME TIGHT.” Music videos to their singles are posted on their official YouTube channel, and can be viewed below.
LOVEBITES new EP “Battle Against Damnation” out on June 6!

The female power metal trend continues as all-female band LOVEBITES releases their first mini album in June. Perhaps more accurately called an EP, Battle Against Damnation will contain 4 original tracks. The Japanese release will be distributed by Victor, while the US release will be on the Sliptrick Records label.
The Japanese release features first press goodies at different outlets; for instance, the Amazon Japan pre-order comes with a postcard/note while the CD Japan pre-order includes a poster and sticker.
Imai Miki new album “Sky” out on June 6!

Veteran singer and actress Imai Miki is releasing her 20th album on June 6th. Titled Sky, it will contain 10 original songs composed by various well known musicians including Tomoyasu Hotei (her husband), Kameda Seiji (also the album’s producer), and Bonnie Pink. One of the songs, “Anata wa anata no mama de ii” is the theme song to the movie Owatta Hito.
The full album release trailer has been posted to the Universal Music Youtube channel, and can be previewed below the track list. Miki’s voice is soft and her music as gentle and uplifting as ever.
BanG Dream! fictional band Roselia releasing debut album “Anfang” on May 2nd!

The fictional band Roselia from popular manga/anime series BanG Dream! is releasing its first album in May. Titled Anfang, the album will include all 5 singles by the band, along with other songs for a total of 12 tracks.
The series BanG Dream!, now with several manga series and a TV show, has produced several hit singles on the real-life Oricon chart by fictional bands from the story, including Poppin’ Party, Roselia, and Pastel * Palettes. All 5 of the singles released by Roselia thus far have made it into the top 10 of the chart.
Tainaka Sachi mini album “Cat’s Cradle” out on May 23!

Singer-songwriter Tainaka Sachi is releasing a mini album next month! Titled Cat’s Cradle, the CD will be available on May 23rd from an independent label. It will contain 6 original tracks with an emphasis on classical arrangements with wood bass, violin, cello, and viola. The release announcement on her website suggests that her music and vocals will be in line with her usual gentle, carefree, and comforting style.
Sachi will go on tour in June to commemorate the album’s release, with three live venues and dates announced in Japan.
ZAQ new album “Z-ONE” out on May 16!

Singer-songwriter ZAQ is releasing her third album Z-ONE next month! 5 singles will be included among a total of 12 songs. All of the included singles, mostly upbeat poppy rock numbers, have tie-ups to anime shows. Most of the songs were written and composed by the artist, and several are also arranged by her.
Z-ONE will be released in 2 editions: a regular, and a limited edition containing a Blu-ray disc with music videos and footage from a live tour in 2016.

COMA-CHI fifth CD album “JOMON GREEN” out on May 16!

Rapper and R&B singer COMA-CHI is releasing her fifth studio album to CD on May 16th! Titled JOMON GREEN, the album was released digitally in March, but will now be available in CD format. JOMON GREEN contains 11 tracks and features several collaborations with artists including Keyco, Takimaku, and MC Mystie. The album is distributed by COMA-CHI’s indie label Queen’s Room.
