Macaroni Empitsu new mini album “season” out on Sept 11th!

Rock band Macaroni Empitsu is releasing their 5th mini-album next month! The release date of season is September 11th. The disc will contain 5 studio tracks, including the song “Seishun to isshun” which was previously released as a single, and 5 additional tracks which were recorded live during their performance on May 12th this year at LIQUIDROOM. The 4-member band has also announced dates for their season tour.

Singing duo MaRuRi and Ryuga are releasing their second mini album on the Universal label. Titled Omishirioki wo, the release will contain 6 tracks total, including their second digital single “Hajimari no uta.”

OAU eponymous album out on Sept 4th!

The modern folk pop/rock band OAU is releasing a new album on September 4th! Titled OAU, the eponymous album reflects the band’s shortening of their name, which was previously Overground Acoustic Underground. The release will contain 13 tracks total, including recent double A-side singles “Kaerimichi” and “Where have you gone.”

The music videos to both singles, as well as the songs “Traveler” and “Midnight Sun” are available on OAU’s official YouTube channel, and can be previewed below the track list.

Yorushika new album “Elma” out on August 28th!

Yorushika, a collaboration project between vocaloid composer n-buna and singer suis, is releasing their second album at the end of this month! Following closely after their successful collaborative debut album Dakara Boku wa Ongaku wo Yameta, the duo’s second album will be titled Elma and contain 14 tracks, several of which parallel the stories told in the first album.

Veteran shima-uta singer Natsukawa Rimi is releasing a new album on August 28th! Titled Churasa Kanasa, the album will contain 9 tracks total and commemorate the 20th anniversary of Natsukawa’s debut. Songs on the album include the digital singles “Mamori Uta,” “Kokoro no kokyuu ~Breath of the heart~,” and “Soba ni ite.”

Singer Hirahara Ayaka is releasing a new album as the 15th anniversary of her musical career is around the corner! HAJIMEMASHITE contains 12 tracks total with many tie ups to the songs, including “Shiawase no arika,” a single that was used as the theme to the recent Mary Poppins movie.

Ayaka worked with a multitude of notable songwriters for the album, including Fumiya Fujii, Makihara Noriyuki, and Cocco.

Oshiro Miyu first album “MI-JUNGLE” out on Aug 21st!

Okinawan singer Oshiro Miyu is releasing her first album on August 21st! MI-JUNGLE is the title of this release, and features 12 total tracks, including the previously released “Orange Butterfly” and 11 original tracks. Miyu’s label Crown Tokuma describes the album as “rock focused” with a variety of styles and tempos including ballad numbers.

Miyu was a top 6 finisher in the X Factor: Okinawa Japan TV show in 2013. She debuted last October with the mini-album MI-POSITION.

Kuraki Mai is commemorating the 20th anniversary of her singing career with a new album! Let’s GOAL! ~Barairo no Jinsei~ is Mai’s 12th original studio album. It will contain 12 tracks, including the singles “Kimi to koi no mama de owarenai     itsumo yume no mama ja irarenai” and “Barairo no jinsei” which were released as a double-A side.

Singer Hashimoto Yuta is releasing his first album on August 7th, titled CHANGE. The album will contain 12 tracks total, including the 4 singles “NEW WORLD,” “Fuwa fuwa,” “Kimi wa yougisha,” and “BOKURA SEDAI.” “Koibito ni naretara” is a digital single, and the other tracks are original songs. Yuta is known for his “melty” high-pitched voice, and has gathered an online following through his covers of Japanese ballads, mostly originally sung by female vocalists.

Titled Things change but not all, the album will contain 12 tracks total. “Puzzle” is Leola’s 5th single, while “Sunshine & Happiness,” “Magic Clap,” and “RIDE ON TIME” were originally released on her mini album LOVE, LIFE & LAUGHTER. The other songs appear to be new material, including the advance digital single “Alright!”.
