the HIATUS new album “Our Secret Spot” out on July 24th!
Rock band the HIATUS is releasing their 6th original album on July 24th! Titled Our Secret Spot, the release commemorates the band’s 10th anniversary, and will contain 10 tracks total which are all original new recordings.
A 10th anniversary special page has been posted to the band’s website with album information and the links to the music video of “Regrets,” one of the new songs, and a trailer featuring songs from the band’s previous albums since 2009. Both videos can be previewed on this page below the track list.
Sakamoto Maaya new single “Uchuu no kioku” out on July 24th.
Singer, songwriter, and seiyuu Maaya SAKAMOTO is releasing a new single on July 24th! Titled Uchuu no Kioku, the leading and title song of the single is composed by Sheena Ringo, and features jazz overtones that are a bit different from Maaya’s usual musical influences. Two coupling songs will be included, and the instrumental tracks for all 3 songs will also be on this disc.
“Uchuu no kioku” will be the opening to a remake of the animated show Youkai Ningen BEM, originally aired in 1968. The show has been remade several times, and the 20th anniversary remake will be the second animated remake, and the third overall.
bird commemorates 20th anniversary with best album on July 24th!
singer-songwriter bird is releasing a best album on July 24th! bird 20th Anniversary Best will contain 28 tracks on 2 discs, spanning her career since her first single “SOULS” was released in 1999. bird’s overall groovy music suggests influences ranging from R&B to reggae, bossa nova, and jazz.
This compilation will include 18 of her 23 singles, along with several other songs found on several more recent studio albums: “Flowers” and “Konnanimo Blue” from NEW BASIC (7th studio album); “Laboratory”, “First Breath”, and “The Secret Room” from HOME (8th); “Run” and “Ah” from 9 (9th); and “Ashita no Kizashi” and “Michi” from LUSH (10th).
Komagata Yuri new mini album “Indigo” out on July 17th.
Seiyuu and singer Komagata Yuri is releasing her second mini album in July! Titled Indigo, the release features 7 original songs. Yuri might be best known for her role in a popular rhythm simulation game, THE iDOLM@STER, where she has performed at live events; and her love of covering songs by Maaya SAKAMOTO.

SOLEIL new album “Lollipop Sixteen” out on July 17th.
Teenage singer SOLEIL is releasing her third album under the Victor Entertainment label on July 17th! Lollipop Sixteen will contain 12 tracks total, with the last track being instrumental.
“Mellotron Girl” was released as a digital single in May, along with B-side “High School Lullabye” which is a cover of a 1981 song by the Imo-Kin Trio. “Zozoi” is a cover of a France Gall song. The other songs appear to be original, and inspired by the 1960’s rock ‘n’ roll sound.
Miyuu new mini album “Here Comes The Sound!” out on July 17th!
Singer-songwriter Miyuu is releasing her second mini album on July 17th! Titled Here Comes The Sound!, the release will contain 6 new tracks. Miyuu has performed some of the songs at online live events.
Several music videos and full song clips are posted to Miyuu’s official YouTube channel through her label Avex, but most are only available to those who pay for a subscription. Live recordings are available unofficially on YouTube, but links are not guaranteed to work after the date of this posting. The music video to “closer again,” an insert song for the TV animation Revisions, is available to preview below the track list.
Kamishiraishi Mone new mini album “i” out on July 10th!
Actress and singer Kamishiraishi Mone is releasing her second mini album on July 10th! Titled i, the album’s concept is “5 love stories” and includes 5 songs total. The song “Happy End” is the theme song to a movie starring Mone titled L-DK Hitotsu Yane no Shita, ‘Suki’ ga Futatsu, based on a manga of the same title.
The full song clip to “Happy End” and another song from the album titled “Eien wa Kirai” are available on the artist’s official YouTube channel, and an album trailer and music videos have been posted to the Universal Music website. The videos can be previewed below the track list.
LOVEBITES live CD+DVD “Daughters of the Dawn” out on July 10th!
All-female metal rock band LOVEBITES is releasing their first live recordings on July 10th! Titled Daughters of the Dawn, the releases will consist of a live album, a Blu-Ray disc, and a DVD with recordings from their Clockwork Immortality Tour performed at Akasaka Blitz on January 27th, 2019.
The live CD album will contain 19 audio tracks, of which two are the intro and outro to the set. The Blu-Ray and DVD will contain footage of the same content, and include an extra chapter with the band members discussing the instruments they played on the tour.
Yuka releasing first mini album “Kimi no Supplement” on July 3rd.
Internet sensation Yuka is releasing her first mini album on July 3rd! Titled Kimi no SAPURI (“Your Supplement”), the release will contain 7 tracks total, including the digital single “Anata mo ne.” The Osaka-based singer-songwriter and pianist describes her own music as “supplemental” to bringing people closer together, and has amassed over 125,000 followers on Instagram. She is going on a solo tour throughout Japan from July through September to commemorate the new release. Her music is produced by fellow internet star kobasolo.

BUMP OF CHICKEN new album “aurora arc” out on July 10th!
Rock band BUMP OF CHICKEN is releasing a long-awaited new album on July 10th! Titled aurora arc, this album comes 3 years after their previous album. This release contains 9 songs released as CD and/or digital singles in the past 3 years (“Aurora”, “Kinen satsuei”, “Ribbon”, “Sirius”, “aria”, “Hanashi ga shitai yo”, “Answer”, “Bouen no March”, and “Spica”), along with 4 new songs and what looks to be an intro track or rearrangement of the title song.
