Hoshino Gen new album “POP VIRUS” out on Dec 19th.

Hoshino Gen is releasing his fifth studio album next month! POP VIRUS is set for a release date of December 19th, and will contain 14 tracks. Included are his hit songs “Koi”, “Family Song” and “Idea” among new tracks.

Hoshino has been picking up accolades for his songs this year, which have been used in various Japanese TV drama shows. “Koi” was the theme to the TBS show Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu, in which the singer and actor starred; “Family Song” was the theme to Kahogo no Kahoko; and “Idea” was used for NHK’s Hanbun, Ao.

POP VIRUS will be released in 4 editions. The two limited editions “type A (Blu-Ray disc)” and “type B (DVD)” include bonus footage from a studio live and documentary, for a total of 200 minutes of video. Both limited editions include a special booklet with an interview and photos. The first press of the regular edition also comes with the booklet; and the fourth edition is the CD-album only edition which will have the regular CD case and jacket booklet.
